MTFT is a registered, not-for-profit organisation that has its focus on education, healthcare and women empowerment. The foundation puts its energy and efforts into impacting the lives of the people in the coastal belts of Kerala in India.The southern states of India are blessed with a picturesque sealine. However, the people here who mostly survive on the blessings of Mother Nature do not have a steady income source. They battle it out against the rough tides of the sea, sometimes for days on end to make a living. For most homes here, this is the onlysource of income however meagre it might be creating socio-economic instability.

The Mother Teresa Foundation Trust intends to structurally create stability by working at grassroots level. Starting with the Children & their Education, the foundation works closely with the families here to ensure everything that they need is provided for. As another initiative, Primary Healthcare for the elderly is provided free of cost. The third initiative of the Foundation Empowers the Women in the coastal area by giving them skill training and helping them set up small businesses that create an additional source of income for the family.
